FlexMail 3.1 Licensing and installation problems
When: After installation
Why: Various reasons

Solution
Step 1: Make sure you have a recent CD, preferably one within one or two service packs of the latest service pack. Check our site for the latest service pack number in the news or in the release notes under updates. In urgent situations the latest CD can be downloaded, contact Flex Systems for a link.

Step 2: Install FlexMail in the root of drive , for example c:\FlexMail\ this avoids a problem with domain users .

Step 3: Do not use Microsoft remote desktop session to license or start FlexMail.

Step 4: Give all user read and write permissions in the FlexMail installation folder. FlexMail writes user data in this directory.

Step 5 Licensing: Login as (domain) Administrator and start FlexMail by right clicking the FlexMail icon and choose run as administrator. This avoids a Windows 7 and Vista problem with the increases security. Make sure you take this step again when entering the actual license code if you cannot do this immediately. .

Step 6 fixing problems: If step 5 fails, check if the windows service with the name Crypkey License status is started and Startup Type is Automatic, and repeat step 5.

All these problems will be fixed in FlexMail 4.0.

3. Now go to the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\] Again search for FlexMail

5. Start windows Add and Remove programs (Programs and features under Vista) and check if FlexMail has been removed. If not repeat step 2 to 4 (apparently there is a second installation.
